Layers work well here, and so do cuts that need the hair to stand up on its own. If you've been growing your hair out and postponing the trim, this is a reasonable moment to take the ends off, since you get them back quickly enough that it costs you almost no progress.
Water signs are the ones almost every lunar calendar tells you to skip for a haircut, and Cancer is the clearest case. The claim is that hair cut now returns soft and limp, and that the scalp holds more moisture, which is unhelpful if you already deal with oil or flaking. Move the appointment by a day or two if you can.
