This is also the point in the cycle linked to the thickest regrowth, which is the usual argument for booking fine hair in now. Older almanacs add one caution: the night of a full moon is a bad time to decide on a dramatic change on impulse.
Skin and hair both fall under Capricorn in the old system. These are strengthening days: deep conditioning, scalp treatment, cutting damage off the ends, all of it lands well now. What grows back comes in slowly and holds up.

Some tables extend the rule to dermatological procedures and others don't, one of several places where the tradition disagrees with itself.
